ABOUT DIESEL DUEL 2: DIESEL DUEL 2 is a functional fitness teams of (2) two competition consisting of – Female/Female, Male/Male and Male/Female. Our debut appearance in 2015 brought us over 300 spectators, 80 athletes, and 8 vendors. This year we anticipate double the amount of participants. You don't want to miss it!  SPECTATOR FEES: Adults: $5.00, Kids: 13 and under FREE

PROGRAMMING & FORMAT

Our programming aims to give everyone, regardless of their experience, a chance to challenge themselves by representing their current fitness level within their peers. Therefore we like to keep it simple, traditional, and classic. The format will consist of 3 WODs throughout the day plus 1 final WOD (DUEL) between 1st, 2nd place and 3rd place. Teams will have enough time to fully recover between each workout and given the opportunity to enjoy watching or motivating others.

STANDARDS

These are individual working weights and movement standards to serve as a general guide to determine which division fits you best. 

You should be able to perform these movements and move these weights during your regular day to day WODs.

Co-Ed Teams: Refer to the standards by gender and division. Males and Females, no matter the team type, will all be working with the same weight for the division.

WOD 1

WOD 1 will have 3 separate scores, added as 1, then divided by 3 to calculate the average. Only one (1) competitor works at a time. It's a 12 minute workout divided into 3 seperate parts. Male & Female teams will share 1 bar. Co-ed will have 2.
🔥A. MAX HANG CLEAN (5 minutes)
Each competitor must find their 1RM HANG CLEAN
✔Must start at the top of a Deadlift position
✔Barbell can not go below the knees.
✔You may hang squat clean it.
✔Must stand at the top with barbell across the shoulders AND wait until the judge says "👍". We will add the last successful attempt from both members for the first point. Score 1 of 3.
🔥B. STRENGTH COMPLEX (4 minutes)
135/95 RX
115/75 Scaled
95/55 Beginners
✔Each competitor can perform the complex as many times as they want but only one (1) can work at a time
✔Every rep counts. Your team can score 7.5 on the complex which means 7 rounds and 3 cleans + 2 s2oh
✔Each competitor is responsible for placing the correct weight on the bar according to their division
✔Judges will make sure all weights are placed back in its original position. Teams will NOT be able to begin the complex until all the weights are placed back safely. We don't want anyone getting hurt 🚑🏥
✔The bar can not be dropped once it's started. If so, they will have to restart the complex.
✔Each cleans must be reset on the floor. Elbows need to be in front of the bar across the shoulders and knees locked out.
✔Shoulder to overhead any style (strict press, push press, jerk, split) as long as your locked out (elbows, hips, knees) at the overhead position.
✔Hips must go below parallel and stand to the top in order for the front squat to count. Score 2 of 3.

With one member of the team working, try to get as many swings as possible within the last 3 minutes.
✔Make sure your hips are extended at the top during the American KB swing.
✔Arms must cover the ears. Score 3 of 3.

WOD 2 will have one (1) score. Which team can complete the workout the fastest. 
🚨STANDARDS 🚨
✔One competitor working at a time.
✔ One team mate must perform a minimum total of 20 calories.
✔Teams CAN switch as many times as they would like throughout the workout, just get to 60 before moving to the next exercise.
✔The team can NOT start the next movement until they have reached the previous calories or repetitions.
✔Team mate can NOT wait at the next station. They must be together before moving to the next station. Again, you must move as one (1) unit.
✔Each team will have time to decide BEFORE the workout begins if they choose to have the box at the 20" or 24" inch height going in the second part of the triplet.
✔Box jumps OR Step ups must show control at the top with ankle, knee, hips, shoulders in one straight line and get the count from your judge. You CAN jump down or step down, as long as both feet touch the bottom and the top of the box, you are good👍
✔ CO-ED Teams must flip the box to the appropriate height based on which gender is performing the jumps.
✔Burpees over your partner means you will NOT be able to start your burpee count until one (1) of you is holding a STRAIGHT (ankle, knee, hips locked out) plank position (push up position on elbows). Only contact on the ground should be elbows and feet/toes. Knees can not touch the ground.
✔The team mate performing the burpees👐MUST👐RELEASE👐HANDS👐off the ground to ensure chest makes contact on the ground.
✔Both feet must jump over your partner, repeat on each side. You can NOT skip one (1) leg at a time over your partner, if so = NO REP🚫

WOD 3 - 10 minute cap

1000m Row Buy-in (500/500 Team Split)

Remaining Time

AMRAP: 10 Power Snatches, 20 Double Unders

WOD 3 will have two (2) separate scores as 1 total. Which team can row to 1,000m the fastest (score 1) and which team can perform as many reps as possible WITHIN the remaining time AFTER the team rows (score 2). Each team will have a total of 10 MINUTES for this workout.

One team member will start on the row machine and row up to 500m. The other partner steps into the same rower and must continue rowing until they reach 1,000m. The first partner MUST remain next to the row machine until their partner is finished rowing. This will be the first score.

Once the team reaches 1,000m, both partners must be inside their workout station before starting the AMRAP with the remaining time after the row.

Once a partner begins that round of the AMRAP, they must commit until all reps are completed before switching off. Partners can ONLY perform 1 round at a time. You can NOT perform more than 1 round, you MUST switch after each. Male & Female teams will have 1 bar. Co-ed will have 2. SCALED: You must inform your judge if you will performing 10/20 Dubs or 10/40 Singles. Once decided, before the WOD starts you must sign and confirm which means you are committed to performing those reps and CAN'T change halfway through.

RX 95/65.
Must perform Double unders (D.U).

Will have the option to perform 20 Double-unders or 40 Singles. You will NOT be able to switch between D.U or S.U during the workout. You must inform your judge of which of the two you will be performing prior to starting. Singles will be divided by 2. Total reps of the AMRAP will be the second score.

BEGINNERS 65/45.
Must perform 40 Single unders (S.U)
